Mornin'! It's 75° in Wildwood NJ. Humidity's 91% with a dewpoint of 74°. Winds are out of the S-SW at 5-10mph. The sky is ominous dark gray. There's a storm brewing around us as I type. Once again, we received no rain or thunderstorms yesterday or last night. But, by the look of the sky, my bets are on "storm" as it's knocking on the front door. In my case... the back door as these storm clouds are coming over the land (the marsh side of the island) and heading right for our barrier island and surrounding areas. Expect heavy rainfall (at times) today (100% chance) with winds out of the S-SW at 10-20mph and temps around 80°. Tonight... 25% chance of rain and a cloudy night giving way to clearing skies. Temps will drop to where they are now... mid-70s with light and variable winds. Tomorrow... sunny, temps around 85° and W-SW winds at 10-15mph. There is a potential for heavy rains today and there is a "flood watch" posted as widespread rainfall amounts could be 1-2" with localized amounts of 3-5" in some areas. These totals could result in flash flooding particularly in low-lying areas. The New Moon is tomorrow creating even higher than normal tides. Be cognizant of where you drive or park your vehicle. Don't drive through flood waters! Be safe!
