Full Moon Thursday

6th & Ocean Aves. in North Wildwood 8/1/12
Mass exodus with a storm approaching
Mornin'!  It's 73° in WW.  Sun's up and once again under morning clouds.  Humidity's up too as everything outside seems damp and even the air feels wet.  It'll be mostly sunny today with hazy skies, temps of mid-upper 80's and humidity which is laying the ground work for the next heatwave we're about to undertake. Yuk. No breezes at the moment but they'll come later this morning from the N-NW first; then S-SE and by this early evening from the South all at 5-10mph.  The forecasters I've checked are all saying no rain showers/thunderstorms today.  (Wildwood received almost an .75 inches of rain in 20 minutes yesterday with an afternoon storm/downpour.) I guess their prediction remains to be seen but keep that eye on the sky.  Especially if heading to the beach.  Play it smart and get off the beach if the sky begins to take a turn even before looking ominous.  Use those ol' smartphones and watch the doppler.  If you haven't heard already...4 people were injured by lightning in Wildwood yesterday when a storm was approaching.  They obviously ignored any warnings.  Makes going to the beach more exciting I must say.  Storms or not, today's Full Moon will play a bit of havoc with the tides and flooding in the streets.  Try not to drive through tide/flood water if navigating the island if you come across salt/sea water seeping onto the streets.
High tide:9:03a.m.
Low tide:3:03p.m.
Ocean temp: 77°
Sunset:8:10p.m.
Moonrise:8:14p.m.
