See Ya February!

Mornin'!  It's 18° in Wildwood.  It's clear and quiet and crisp.  Everything's packed with snow as the icy air almost takes your breath away.  The sky is clear and beautifully painted with all pastel shades of the Winter sunrise (Ms Sun just crossed the horizon).  It's going to be cold this last day of February.  Temps will be around 28° with winds out of the N-NW at 8-10mph.  A little bit of a chill factor on the beach for the plungers today.  It'll feel like it's 10-15° on that beach today.  It's supposed to be sunny all day as the clouds filter in this evening and by then temps will be dropping back into the teens.  Tomorrow...clouds and a 60% chance of snow showers by the afternoon and should turn to rain by tomorrow night.  February won't release us from its grasp.  20 days until Spring!

White Friday

Mornin'!  It's 22° in Wildwood.  We got 5+ inches of the white stuff yesterday.  I was miserable watching that snowy, intense Nor'easter all morning.  The island's covered in white stuff again. The sky is partially cloud covered.  There's some clearing right along the coast and we may just get a lovely sunrise on this Friday morning.  It'll be partly sunny/partly cloudy as there's a 20% chance of snow flurries/snow showers today.  Temps should just about tap 30° with breezes out of the North at 5-10mph.  Tonight...mainly clear, back into the teens with breezes kicking up a bit out of the NW at 17-23mph.  Okay...tomorrow for the Polar Plunge in North Wildwood...brilliant sunshine, high 20s and breezes out of the N-NW at 5-10mph. Some advice if you're plunging...have someone waiting for your wet, frozen body with footwear (preferably cozy boots), a giant warm towel and robe, and a warm vehicle to get you to a hot shower.

Snow Day

Mornin'!  It's 33° in Wildwood.  It's still dark out. It's thickly cloud covered with snow falling.  There's currently a light dusting of snow on everything.  It's looking like a snowy day as the snowfall will pick up and become moderate to heavy up until this afternoon.  Expect a few inches before this snowstorm passes through.  Temps will fall a bit and probably hover around the upper 20s most of today.  Winds are helping as they're N'oreaster winds (N-NE) at 21-28mph.  Tonight...cloudy and cold (low 20s).  Ms Sun checks back in tomorrow but for only quick peeks.  Saturday's the Polar Plunge in North Wildwood and a brilliant, unobstructed sun will be out for that.  If you think it'll make a difference warming things when you're in a bathing suit with intentions of running into the freezing ocean with air temps in the low-20s...then by all means go for it!  Crazy people.

Beautiful Winter's Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 23° in Wildwood.  It's clear and still.  The stars are still shining as Ms Sun will be up over the horizon in less than an hour.  We've got a dusting of snow from the overnight.  It should be out of here once Ms Sun does her meltdown.  It's looking like a decent winter's day as the sun will be shining all day and temps will be reaching the mid-upper 30s.  The winds will be out of the West at 10-15mph.  Tonight...more snow showers with less than a inch of snow as temps drop back into the low 20s. Tomorrow... waking to gray and snow as the next round of crapola weather tapers off by the afternoon.

Com'on Spring!

Mornin'!  It's 11° in Wildwood.  We're still having winter.  I keep hoping one morning when I go on that back porch and check that ol' thermometer it'll begin to say Spring temperatures.  Not yet though.  It's cold.  Not much in breezes as it's quiet.  The sky is starlit and beginning to lightening.  As the stars fade, Ms Sun's on the horizon getting ready for her grand entrance.  It'll be mostly sunny today.  There will some clouds in the mix as well as temps climb up into the mid-upper 20s.  The breezes will be light E-NE at 5-7mph creating a bit of a chill factor with those 20° temps = 9°.  Tonight...low 20s with winds out of S-SW and a 20% chance of snow flurries/showers.  Tomorrow's looking sunnier and a tad warmer but still wintry.  Wednesday...snow.  Spring...24 days!

Winter's Staying Checked In

Mornin'!  It's 32° in Wildwood.  By the way...it's went up to 47° yesterday and you talk about meltdown!  The sidewalks and streets are once again clear.  There are still mounds of plowed snow and the harbors and bays remain frozen, but yesterday felt like a Spring day.  Today...it's calm and quiet with some cloud cover.  Things-are-a-changing though.  We'll start out the week with a mix of clouds and some peeks of sun.  Temps will stay were they are as 32° is the high for today.  Winds will pick up out of the N-NW at 10-20mph.  Tonight...Winter's not going anywhere as it'll be clear and 7° with those same winds giving us a nice blast of wind chill.  Tomorrow...sunnier and back up into the balmy 20s.  Speaking of 20s...25 days until Spring!

2 words - "Meltdown" and "Wellies"

Mornin'!  It's 36 balmy degrees in Wildwood.  It's quiet except for the sounds of light rain and water dripping from everywhere.  There's a very light breeze from the W (8-10mph).  We're on "Meltdown" alert.  All those shoveled and plowed dirty mounds of snow are disappearing right before our eyes.  All the frozen pipes (cracked or not) are finally beginning to run freely.  The streets are beginning to flood.  It's a wet, ugly kind of day on the island.  Forecasts are saying it'll rain all day as temps get even high maybe tapping 40°.  Winds will stay light from the West.  Tonight...more mist than rain, winds out of the NW at 15-20mph with temps dropping back into the 20s.  Watch out for icy conditions.  Tomorrow...Ms Sun checks back in but so does the colder (mid 20s) temps.  I'm thinking "wellies" for today's giant puddles!

Meltdown-A-Comin'

Sunken Ship at Sunset Bay - Cape May NJ
Mornin'!  It's 22° in Wildwood.  No breezes to create that ol' wind chill.  The sky is sunlit and it's warm and cozy in my home this morning.  For that I'm very grateful.  I discovered that one of my girlfriends from Philly had a pipe burst in her Wildwood house and it was a bit of an upsetting evening to say the least.  The Firefighters and Water department came to the rescue.  I discovered her ice covered porch on the way to Cape May to see the frozen Delaware Bay at the sight of the Sunken Ship at Sunset Bay.  An amazing thing to see...both her porch and the Bay that is.  For the weekend's forecast...we're going to have a mix of clouds and sun as a mix of wintry precipitation  (80% chance) is here by this afternoon.  Temps are going to tap a balmy 30° as Southerly breezes wift (I mean waft) in at 10-15mph.  Tonight...temps will stay in the low 30s as rainfall begins (100% chance) and breezes stay from the South at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow looks like much higher temps (along with a meltdown) as we may see low-mid 40s with fog and grayness.  God help those with frozen pipes!

Record Lows - Arctic Air - Wind Chills - Hazardous Weather

Mornin'!  It's 5° in Wildwood.  And, we add to that the winds...NW at 25-30mph bringing the wind chill temp to -15°.  Ahhhh...don't we just love the winter season!   Not to worry...Ms Sun's due up and will warm the island up today.  NOT!  Let's just get right to it...mostly sunny today with temps rising up to the mid teens and winds out of the W-NW at 20-30...feeling like -3°. The Sun can't quite compete with this winter tundra although it gives its best shot.   Tonight...clear with record low temps expected and winds light and variable.  The weekend's looking wet.  Saturday...overcast and balmy with highs in the mid 30s as a wintry mix checks in.  Sunday... even balmier in the mid 40s as rain is expected.  As the freeze becomes the thaw, I have it on good authority that this current broken pipe epidemic will be setting records. We're going to be one hell of a leaky island this weekend as broken pipes begin to make their presence known!

Arctic Blast bringing Record Lows

Mornin'!  It's 14° + 20-30mph winds = -2° in Wildwood.  The sky is clear and starlit as winds shake up the island.  The streets and sidewalks somewhat cleared of Tuesday's snow are again covered with the wind driven snow.  Without a doubt it's the winter tundra out there this morning.   It'll stay windy today (W-NW 20-30mph w/40mph gusting) making the 15°-18° temps feel like 0° much of the day.  Ms Sun will do her best to warm us but the clouds and winds will make her efforts a joke.  Tonight...partly cloudy and still gusty with those W-NW winds still ramping up at 40mph as temps drop down to around 4° + those winds = -15°.  The weekend's looking cold (not as cold as today and tomorrow's arctic blast) and wet (rain more than the white stuff).  Geez... winter's becoming very tiresome!  I'm tired of putting so much clothing on.  29 days until Spring!

Ash Wednesday-New Moon-Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 10° in Wildwood this first day of Lent.  Winds are light and variable (North 4-6mph) that means 1° in Wildwood.  It's clear and starlit without any signs of the Moon.  That's because it's the New Moon and exceptionally dark moon this month.  In other words...not a sign of the moon tonight.  It's so wintry outside.  Everything's covered in snow and now hard and crunchy.  Cars make lots of noise as the meander down the icy snow tracks in the streets.  I keep wondering what's happening under all that piled up snow in my Spring Bulb Garden.  Considering the week we're having, today will be a "relatively warm" and a quiet day, with light winds and seasonably cold temperatures. A mix of clouds and sunshine with highs around 30° are on the menu today. Still below freezing, but a break from the bitter cold and some sun should create some meltdown.  Tonight winds will be out of the W-SW at 20-30mph w/gusts of 40+mph.snow showers and squalls will arrive with our next arctic front. A quick coating to perhaps an inch or two of snow (in the heavier squalls) is possible.   The BITTER cold follows late tonight as temps drop back into the teens. We're also looking at a bitter cold weekend.  Oh... and that New Moon...well we're going to see tidal flooding but I'm not sure how the ocean and those harbors, bays and marshes will react to the tides moving towards us with this big freeze as everything's frozen.

Winter Storm on Faschnaught

Frozen Delaware Bay
Mornin'!  It's 12° in Wildwood.  It's white outside.  It's been snowing since bedtime last evening.  I've checked radio and websites and for the most part it appears as though all Wildwood schools are closed due to the snow.  It's a bit primitive in that the research to find out if there are school closing is mixed and confusing.  There's not much in local postings now without a local news station on TV and the internet is basically not saying much.  Margaret Mace school is closed for sure.   Anyway...were cold and wet and snowy.  There's about 7-8" of the white stuff covering the island.  It's light and fluffy and easy on the lower back for shoveling.  It's supposed to continue to snow throughout the morning (70% chance) and by this afternoon...be outta here!  It looks like it'll remain cloudy as temps will rise into the mid-upper 20s with N-NE winds at 10-15mph. Tonight...overcast and cloudy with temps dropping into the teens and winds shifting from the N-NW.  We may see a bit of sunshine tomorrow as another snow event may pass through tomorrow evening.  Happy Shrove Tuesday...Lent begins tomorrow!

Footnote: Reports are in.... All schools on the island are closed today.  And, we got 7-8 inches of snow not the 4-5 inches that I thought.  All reports are coming in and the island of Wildwood got more snow accumulation than I originally posted.

Winter Storm Warning and Wind Chill Advisory Posted for today. Happy Presidents Day!

Mornin'!  It's 8° in Wildwood.  Yep...8°.  It's still windy so it feels like -11°.  It's brutal is what it is.  Everyone you talk with says they're moving to Florida.  That happens every February but I do know people that are actually preparing to move away from this weather climate. For now, I'm staying put and counting the days...32 until Spring and 124 until Summer.  So, we're gearing up for our next February storm.  Let's begin with today...Happy President's day!  I'm off from work today as Ms Sun's rising in the backdrop.  She'll be up in about a ½ hour or so.  There are some thin clouds in the mix but my bet is on Ms Sun this morning.  All bets are off this afternoon as those relentless clouds will eventually take over.  Winds are sticking around...W-NW at 15-25mph as temps rise up to the upper teens and possibly even tapping the low 20s.  Now, let's talk about tonight...100% chance of precipitation.  And, we're not talking about rain showers.  Nope... we're talking another Nor'easter "Coastal" Snow Storm!!!  It'll start snowing this evening and continue to snow all night long into tomorrow afternoon.  I keep hearing up to 8 inches as this next storm should be out of here by tomorrow afternoon sometime.  More snow showers are due in Wednesday to add salt to the wound.  Oh, just bring so we can't get this over with and move on.  Well...not literally move on like some folks I know who won't be sharing any of this with me next year.

Winter Weather Advisory, Wind Chill Advisory, High Wind Warning

Mornin'!  It's 11° in Wildwood.  Let's add the wind to that (W-NW) at 25-40mph with 50mph gusts = -14° out there in the winter tundra.  There are advisories all over the place this morning.  I'm surprised my home is still secure as this intensity started before bedtime last night.  As I sit here I saw a part of someone's house siding blowing down the street wreaking havoc.  There's snow outside along with those winds.  It's not much (1-3") but the winds have created some 3-4" of drifting snow.  Hey, I'm not complaining as our Northern neighbors are once again being pummeled as our coast missed the blizzard bullet again.  Most of my street and property isn't even snow covered due to the winds.  But, let me tell ya...it's much more than a blustery morning out there.  These winds could pick up and carry a chihuahua away...scary for those little guys.  When my little pooch went out and raised his leg, he almost got some air time!  So, with all that said, I'm sorry to say that all forecasts are saying these winds are staying checked in until at least tomorrow morning when they simmer down to 25mph.  By Monday night...they'll be light and variable as 5-8" of the white stuff is supposed to hit the coast Monday night and Tuesday.  I'm keeping my eye on that next one.  For today...sunny and W-I-N-D-Y (NW 46-53mph) as temps will stay just about were they are now...low teens.  Tonight...single digits and winds and that's a painful wind chill factor!  Ol' Man Winter is showing his nasty self as Spring begins to peek around the corner (33 days until Spring).  Be careful out there!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Mornin'!  It's 28° in Wildwood.  Happy Valentine's Day! We've got some cloud cover happening.  Yet, over the ocean...it's looking bright and sunny as Ms Sun's trying to rise and shine as I blog.  She's got a line of thick clouds heading out to sea towards her to contend with at the moment.  There will be a mix of clouds and sun early today with temps in the mid-upper 30.  Winds will initially be out of the S-SW at 15-25mph.  Then comes the late afternoon.  Then comes another major Clipper.  The Winds will shift and blow in from the West at 25-40mph and gusting at 50+mph bringing with them a Snow Squall (70% chance) accumulating some of the white stuff (1" or more).  With the low temps and extreme winds (High Wind Warning & Winter Weather Advisory is posted) the chill factor will be off the chart.  I'm just hoping the house won't be off its pilings.  Tomorrow...Ms Sun will try to win the battle over the clouds but those Weekend Winds aren't going anywhere!  Oh...it's Sea Isle City's polar plunge today...god help them!

Friday the 13th! Wind and Wind Chill Advisories Posted - Brrrrrrrrrrr

Mornin'!  It's 10° in Wildwood.  Feeling like -10° right about now.  We're in the thick of some winter tundra as the winds are out of the NW at 31-36mph creating that ol' Wind Chill.  It's brutally cold out there.  The sky is beautiful though...clear, moonlit and starlit.  Ms Sun's due up and will warm things up today...NOT!  These temps will rise a bit (high of 20°) and winds howling much like right now will keep this Wind Chill advisory posted throughout the weekend.  Tonight...back into the teens as winds simmer down just a bit.  Tomorrow night...next Clipper arrives (70% chance of snow) with those damn Winds shaking us up all night Saturday into Sunday. Good Luck with that.  Better yet...Good Luck today...it's Friday the 13th not to mention Sam's opens for weekends beginning today!

Blustery and Raw Thursday

Mornin'!  It's 31° in Wildwood.  It's cloudy and overcast but still and calm.  No winds; no stars, no moon and my guess is no Ms Sun presenting herself at 7a.m. this morning.   All forecasts are pointing to "clouds", "rain showers" or "wet snow" possible today.  I'm personally leaning towards..."rain showers" as temps are going into the low 40s.  Winds will begin to ramp up later this morning from the South-West at 5-10mph and increasing to 15-25mph and by later tonight (North-West) at 35-40mph.  Speaking of tonight...temps drop back into the low 30s as a dusting of snow (30% chance) is on tap. Tomorrow...sun and winds before Saturday night's winter Blast.  Oh come on...36 days until Spring and 128 days until Summer!  We got this!

Chilly Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 30° in balmy Wildwood.  It's breezy and cold this cloudy morn.  Winds are out of the N-NE at 23-27mph.  At the moment the sky is overcast and thickly cloud covered.  By later this morning though...those clouds are outta here.  Temps should get up to the mid-upper 30s as Ms Sun checks in and shines down today.  Winds will simmer down some.  Tonight...clear with temps back down into the low 30s with breezes out of the E at 6-10mph.  We're looking at some white stuff dusting tomorrow (30% chance) and again on Saturday night (50% chance) just saying.

Winter Weather Advisory Posted

Mornin'!  It's 31° in Wildwood.  We've got some weather stuff going on out there.  First, it's windy...extremely windy...N-NE at 26-32mph sustained winds with gusting creating freight train howling sounds all around my house.  Second it's cloudy.  Thirdly...it's misty.  And, all that mist is creating an icy glaze on all the surfaces out there.  I was okay walking on the back porch but the hand rails drew my attention  as they were glistening and when I touched them..."icy".  Then, I noticed the car in my driveway...ice coated.  So...I'm guessing "it's always dark and coldest before dawn" and the islanders will have some weather to deal with this morning.  "If it's wet...assume it's icy" is what all the weather people are reporting so I'm going with that this morning.  Today...cloudy and misty (much like yesterday...raw) with temps in the low 30s and winds sticking around and blasting us with its Northeast blasts.  Tonight...much of the same as the mist and wind will be staying checked in until late tonight.  Careful out there!

Storms All Around Us

Mornin'!  It's 37° in Wildwood.  It's foggy, misty, windy, and cold.  What a way to start the week!  There's a lot going on out there this morning.  Winds are out of the N-NE at 29-36mph and bringing the sounds of the surf crashing right to my back porch six blocks away.  Looks like we're going to have a storm all around us today as temps tap the 40° mark and winds continue hammering us throughout the day from the NE. We'll over see periods of light rain and/or just mist beginning this afternoon until late tonight when snow showers/freezing rain join the mix.  Doesn't look like any of the white stuff or accumulations for us! Tonight...temps drop (low 30s) so be careful with any slick conditions that might occur.  Winds will continue tonight from the NE at 30+mph.

Partly Sunny Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 38° in Wildwood.  Ms Sun's up but
the clouds aren't giving way too easily for her grand entrance.  They will though.  Eventually it will become a mostly sunny / partly cloudy day as temps climb up and tap...get this...50°.  No typo.  We've been getting these tiny sneak peeks of milder weather as of late.  I'm lovin' it!  Winds are nothing to note at the moment and they'll eventually wift (I mean waft) in later from the W-SW at 8-10mph.  Tonight...back into the upper 30s with the W-SW light and variable winds hanging out.  Tomorrow...on the rainy side and then that "mix" stuff tomorrow evening on the Monday overnight.  Bottom line...enjoy today!

Anniversary of My Survivor Storm

Mornin'!  It's 27° in Wildwood.  This weekend 5 years ago the 2010 coastal storm took us down.  We were without power for 6 days and lived to tell the story.  We missed that Super Bowl!  We were Wendy and Jack from The Shining as our home was buried in ice and snow as we checked every nook and cranny for candles.  A couple times hubby would put a flashlight under his chin and growl "Here's Johnny".  It'll always be a memorable and poignant time in my life as it without a doubt empowered me to believe I'm  somewhat of a real survivor.  Not to mention this storm was the catalyst to inspire our first of many Key West vacations as "Jack" repeatedly swore throughout the week of the storm that "When we get through this, we're booking a Key West vacation!"
We have "halfers" this morning up in the sky.  Half of what I'm seeing...the west/bay side is overcast and thickly covered with clouds and the other half... the east/ocean side is clear and becoming brightly lit by Ms Sun as she rises and welcomes a new day and weekend.  It's looking gorgeous on that side as she paints the morning sunrise.
It'll be dry and mostly sunny today with some clouds in the mix as temps rise up into the lo-mid 40s and breezes.  Winds will be out of the S-SW at 14-19mph.  Tonight...back into the upper 30s with breezes remaining out of the SW at 15-21mph.  Tomorrow...much of the same with even warmer temps and nothing like Feb 2010.

Freezing Friday

Frozen Delaware Bay
Mornin'!  It's 17° in Wildwood.  It's freezing cold, clear, dry and very quiet.  No breezes or winds at the moment.  This week's Full Moon is no longer full but providing lots of brightness in the dark, starlit sky this early morn.  Going out onto the back porch to check on things was like going into the deep freeze this morning.  It actually startled me...talk about "crisp".  Ms Sun's due up today and will shine on with some clouds joining in.  Temps are supposed to climb up to the mid 30s with Westerly winds at 10-15mph a bit later today.  Tonight...partly cloudy with temps in the mid 20s and winds light and variable.  Saturday and Sunday look sunny and seasonably cold (upper 30s-low 40s).  Nothing out of the ordinary.  Monday...looking wet and I'm talking "rain".  Spring...42 days!

Windy Thursday

Sunset Lake, Wildwood Crest, NJ
Mornin'!  It's 37° in Wildwood.  It's hazy and overcast as that Snow Moon is trying to glow through the clouds as I blog.  It's quiet as there are no breezes at the moment.  It'll all change today though.  First, we may see some sun, the clouds will hang out as the temps drop and hover around low-mid 30s as the breezes wift (I mean waft) in later from the N-NW at 31-36mph with gusting (Major Chill Factors up ahead).  There's a 10% chance of a snow shower or two late this afternoon and this evening.  Tonight...into the low 20s with clouds and winds sticking around N-NW at 30-34mph...you know...Cold!  Tomorrow and Saturday look sunnier and a touch warmer.

Mornin'!  It's 34° in Wildwood.  It's quiet with hardly a breeze and an overcast sky with the full moon barely there.  No stars to be seen in the hazy sky.  It feels mild and nice yet damp.  Things will switch up as the winds enter the scene...S-SW at 20-23mph later this morning.  Most of the clouds will clear out as Ms Sun's due in today.  It'll be pretty bright sun with temps in the mid-upper 40s.   Tonight, winds will stick around as the clouds filter back in and temps drop into the upper 30s.  Enjoy as this is short-lived...the chill factors return tomorrow.  Looks like no "wet stuff" until Saturday night.

Snow Moon

Mornin'!  It's 21° in Wildwood.  It's still very windy (N-NW at 23-26mph) and feels brutally cold with that wind chill.  Not only are the stars twinkling in the black sky, but the Full moon is shining down brightly.  It's dry as we once again scathed the surrounding snow/ice storms yesterday.  It's the Full "Snow" Moon today.  It'll feel frigid today as temps will be in the upper 20's (possibly tapping 30°) with winds hanging out until later this afternoon when they shift from the W-NW at 15-17mph.  Tonight...back into the 20s with quieter winds from the S-SW 5-10mph and a few clouds rolling in.  Thankfully Ms Sun will hang around for the next day or two and warm us a bit.  Ha.

Groundhog Day

Mornin'!  It's 45° in Wildwood.  Yes...45° and extremely windy.  I was shocked when I went out on the back porch to check the thermometer as the minute I walk out the door, the balmy temps blew right in my face.  Other than the winds...no storm here...just a little mist and fog.  All around us or I should say north and/or west of us...I'm hearing "stormy".  Whew...missed that bullet again.  We'll have light rain throughout the day as temps rise into the upper 40s/low 50s.  It'll be a windy one though.  Right now...S-SW breezes at 27-41mph are wifting (I mean wafting) over us.  By this afternoon, they'll shift from the NW at 40-43(+gusting) as the rain will turn to snow showers as the temps drop .  Tonight...clear and down into the upper 20s.  It looks like it'll be clear and cold on the overnight as tomorrow Ms Sun is supposed to return with temps in the 20s and winds still kicking.  I'll check back in later about Punxsutawney Phil's shadow this morning as it's too early at this writing...still dark out!
High tide:6:45a.m. and 7:11p.m.
Low tide:12:53p.m.
Ocean temp:39°
Sunset:5:22p.m.
Footnote: Groundhog saw his shadow...6 more weeks of winter!  Whatever.  How the hell can a rodent see his shadow when it's overcast with snow showers?  It's all stupid if you ask me.  I'm going with...forget all about that Groundhog crap and focus on the 1st day of Spring...March 20th...46 more days!

Welcome February!!! Happy Birthday Debi!

Mornin'!  It's 29° in Wildwood.  Ms Sun's about to shine (she rose a couple hours ago but has been pretty much blocked by the morning clouds).  It's calm and quiet as those wild winds have simmered down for a bit.  There's a light, variable breeze out of the W-NW at 8-10mph.  Temps will reach the upper 30s today (maybe even tap 40°) as it'll be mostly sunny with clouds in the mix for this 1st day of February.  Tonight...increasing clouds with rain due on the overnight.  Temps will stay where they are now.  Tomorrow...winds return (S-SW 30-40mph) with rising temps (maybe even tap 50°) which will keep the white stuff from hitting the island.  February's coming in easy.  Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing as February usually has a lot to dish out.  We're good to go today and for this next storm though!
