Hazardous Weather Posting today!

Mornin'!  It's 74° in Wildwood.  It's hazy and warm again.  Ms Sun's being blocked by the haze and should win that contest although she's got her work cut out for her as the clouds are hovering to check in today.  It's beginning to brighten so the sun could be shining by the time I'm done typing. It's a bit breezy (Southerly breezes at 10-15mph).  And, boy is it humid.  Today's temps will once again get into the upper 80s.  It looks like the buildup of heat and humidity will bring some showers and/or thunderstorms today as the clouds are intending to stay check in for most of the day.  Remains to be seen. Maybe as early as this morning we'll see rain (40-60% chance depending where you are) according the the Nat'l Weather Service.  Keep your eye on the sky (or doppler).  This afternoon and tonight...more of the same with clouds and chances of showers and/or thunderstorms (60% chance).  Thunder, lightning, gusting winds and hail are possible...just saying.  Temps will get back into the low 70s with W-SW breezes covering the island.  Beginning tomorrow...beach weather is back at least until Monday when that chance of rain returns.
High tide:7:39a.m.
Low tide:1:31p.m.
Ocean temp:77°
Sunset:8:14p.m.
Rip Currents: Moderate (A moderate risk of rip currents implies that individuals planning to enter the surf should check with local beach patrols first. Be sure to swim within sight of a life guard, and never swim alone or at night.)
Full Moon: tomorrow (7/31) and higher than usual tides and if the rain is really heavy, flooding with poor drainage is possible. And, don't forget...don't drive through flood waters...the salty ocean water will damage the underneath of your vehicle.
