More of the Same

Mornin'! It's 76° in Wildwood NJ.  It's overcast with no peeks of sun and no breezes to note.  We came out unscathed from last night's late storms.  We received light rain and some off-in-the-distance lightning but nothing like LBI or Strathmere or Surf City who received...a big storm with winds and flooding not to mention a tornado warning. That ugly storm stayed north of us thankfully. Whew...missed that one. We're still socked in the soup with that tropical dampness and humidity.  Currently the Dew point is 75° and Humidity is 91°.  It'll be another warm one today with mostly clouds and peeks of sun, breezes off the land W-SW at 13-15mph and temps in the mid-upper 80s.  There's a 20% chance of a scattered, passing storm (keep watch of those clouds in the sky and better yet...your smartphone doppler). Tonight...cloud cover and 40% chance of a passing shower and/or thunderstorm with temps dropping back into the mid-upper 70s with breezes out of the W-NW at 5-10mph. Tomorrow...much like today. The green heads were biting on the beach yesterday due to those "westerly" breezes...pack the insect repellant!
High tide:9:26a.m.
Low tide:3:14p.m.
Ocean temp:77°
Sunset:8:19p.m.
UV Index:9 (high)
Rip Currents: moderate (the ocean had its way with swimmers yesterday...enter on 22nd Ave. and exit on 18th Ave.)
