Damp Tuesday

Mornin'!  It's 75 balmy degrees in Wildwood NJ.  It's feeling much like the tropics this early morn.  Dewpoint is 73° with humidity 97%.  It's thick and humid with lots of moisture in the briny air.  No breezes to note.  All my indoor tropical plants now outside for the season are deliriously happy.  My back porch has Key West written all over it!  It'll be a mostly gray, very moist, humid day with rain showers and/or thunderstorms likely (90% chance).  Some storms in the area could produce heavy rainfall.  Temps won't get much higher than they are now...76 or 77° with S-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Due to Hurricane Gert out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, our coast is going to experience some intense rip currents and wave action for the next two days.  You've been warned...check with beach patrol/lifeguards before heading into the drink.  The Surfers are drooling but the average swimmer/bather should take this warning very seriously as the current will take you far from the safety of the shore. Tonight...mostly cloudy with rain producing clouds pretty much out of here. It'll still feel warm and humid with temps in the low 70s and breezes out of the NE 3-6mph.  Tomorrow and Thursday...back to sunshine and warmer temps.
High tide:2:38pm
Low tide:8:00am and 9:07pm
Ocean temp:76°
Sunset:7:55pm
UV Index:4 (moderately low)
Rip Currents: moderate risk
