Full Moon Friday

Mornin'!  It's 45° in Wildwood NJ.  We've got light breezes out of the South at 6-8mph.  We've also got some thick cloud cover as the ocean's wave action along the beach is loud and clear from my back porch 6+ blocks away.  The cloud cover does it all the time and insulates the sound of the surf very nicely.  The full moon just set over the horizon as it was illuminating the island all night long.  It seems that we're going to get considerable cloudiness today along with peeks of sunshine.  Temps will climb up to the low-mid 50s with S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... partly to mostly cloudy with temps dropping to the mid-upper 40s and those S-SW winds staying checked in at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... expect mostly cloud cover, stiff breezes (18-22mph) and mild temps (mid-upper 50s) for the Polar Plunge. Sunday begins with rain and very stiff winds but will settle down by late afternoon as temps reach 60°.  The Full "Wolf" Moon is today.  The Native American Indians were the record keepers of time as well as naming the Moons.  The reason for the "Wolf" moon is the increase of howling by the wolves this time of year.  Remember, the tides will be much higher and lower with the Full Moon and the streets may flood a bit.  Avoid taking the vehicle into the briny, salty flood water seeping into the streets.  Oh... and remember... the back bay and marsh side of the island has high tide an hour later than the ocean side.
High tides: 7:13AM and 7:48PM
Low tide: 1:38PM
Ocean temp: 42°
Sunrise: 7:16AM
Sunset: 4:58PM
Moonrise: 4:54PM
