Mornin'! It's 35° in Wildwood NJ. Happy Friday! We've got those milky, wispy clouds this morning but Ms Sun's trying to break on through. Winds are barely there out of the E-NE at 2-4mph. Everything's frosty as Ms Sun's warmth is already beginning her drippy meltdown. Thankfully, it'll be mostly sunny today with a high near 54° and NW breezes at 4-8mph. Breezes will shift later this afternoon out of the SE. Tonight... mostly clear, temps in the low-mid 40s and Southerly breezes at 5-10mph. Tomorrow... a mix of sun and clouds, temps in the mid-upper 50s and S-SW breezes at 5-10mph. Sunday... a "strap in" kind of day with wind and rain on the forecast. Expect showers in the morning becoming windy (Southerly winds at 20-30mph +gusting) with steady rain in the afternoon with temps around 60°. Sunday night... potential for heavy rain (1-2 inches expected), very windy (West 25-35mph +gusting). Just an fyi... the "New Moon" is Tuesday the 12th and as this rain system is settling here just 2 days before that invisible moon, you know the drill. That moon will treat the coast just like a full moon does. We'll no doubt have coastal flooding with all the rain they're forecasting. Be familiar with the low-lying / flood-prone areas on the island. Be cognizant of the high tide times. And, if need be, move your vehicle. Don't drive through flood water if you can as it's extremely harmful to the undercarriage of your vehicle. Also, it looks like it'll be extremely windy so secure those outdoor decorations as well as trash/recycle cans. Preparedness is key. Today... the last of the Autumn Beauties... get out and enjoy!
