Another Winter Beauty

Winter - 2009
Mornin'!  It's 35° in Wildwood NJ.  It's feeling like 30° with the N-NE winds at 5-10mph.  Ms Sun's up and shining brightly!  Well, this past Thursday, Saturday and Sunday were full of sunshine and today, tomorrow and Wednesday will be no different.  We're in "Sunshine Mode" there's no question about it!  It's cold out there but it's heading for another day of warm sun and temps in the mid-40s.  We'll have those NE winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... clear skies, temps around 30° and N-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... another sunny day with temps around 40°, and NE winds a bit stiffer at 10-20mph.  Even with experiencing the Winter season here down the Shore, that sunshine almost always changes everything when the temps are relatively mild. The vivid clear blue sky, the warmth of the winter sunshine and lest not forget that wonderful sea air makes Winter so much more enjoyable.  I don't miss the island covered in snow or the  frozen conditions that winter can bring.  I have much to be thankful for so far this season. 42 days until Spring!

Today feels like foreshadowing Spring. I think I only donned a scarf twice this winter.

A scarf only twice this winter, you are so lucky.

Here (mid-Mo), undies as usual, long Johns (tops and bottom), sometimes 2 pairs of socks,
thick lined boots, heavy weight jeans, turtle neck, flannel shirt, a sweater that is almost a coat, heavy winter coat, wind proof pants over the jeans, and thickest lined gloves. Also a knit cap with bunny tail on the top of the cap although I am a bit old to be running around with a bunny tail on my head, then I am ready to go out with the dogs for 15-20 minutes.

I noticed the snow for you for 2009, I don't remember that, but no real snow or thick ice here this winter, just horrible cold and big winds. Other areas had as bad as or worse weather than here. If course, if you want to live where it is warmer, you could move to Calif. and risk being washed away. Take your pick.

@T,
The winds here along the Coast can be brutal. They're the worst in March. I did wear my scarf today when outside. Also, fur lined gloves and had my thick hood up. The winds were biting. We've had many snow storms since I've lived here. Feb 7th 2010 was one of the worst snowstorms here(much like The Shining)... took us down (without power) for 6 days. In January 2016, we had over a foot of snow then huge high tides creating icebergs to surround the house.
Keep Warm!
