Sweltering Sunday

Still sunny, sizzling and sweltering in Wildwood. It's currently 82 degrees. It will remain hazy, hot and humid with that intense warm land breeze of 10-15mph making it feel over 100 degrees again today. Some time today (after 3pm) clouds, showers, and/or thunderstorms are predicted; cooling things down a little. There will still be beach time in store for us diehards. Prepare accordingly...umbrella or sandchair with fold down canopy, sunblock, water to spray yourself down, water to drink and footwear to cross the 125 degree sand (someone actually took the temperature of the sand). Water temp is a crisp 74 degrees and will drop your body temperature instantly. High tide is 6:43p.m. this evening and low tide is 12:14p.m. this afternoon so go ahead and plant you encampment close to the water. Half the beach population is sitting in or along the water now for relief of the beach heat. A full moon is out there too making the tides a bit higher, streets a little floodier (don't drive through the salt water) and if you're right near the coast this evening keep an eye on the horizon at 8:02p.m. tonight and you may see the moon creep over the horizon. It's really cool to catch a moonrise if you've never seen one before. See you at the beach!
