Mornin'! It's 37° in Wildwood under clear, starlit skies. There's s light breeze out of the W-NW at 5-10mph. Looks like another nice one as Ms. Sun will be doing her job warming the island and giving us temps near 50° this start to President's weekend (I've noticed some absentee owners are already here). The clouds won't roll in until late tonight bringing rain showers for the overnight with winds shifting out of the N-NE at 15-20mph. Those showers should turn to snow and bring a dusting to a couple inches of the white stuff for Saturday (70% chance). Whatever...getting bored with the continued tidbits of Winter still making its presence known. I'm trying to ready myself for that nasty month of March of ours. If you've never experienced March in the Wildwoods...it's the most relentless wind-swept, annoying, cold and raw month of them all. When I first moved here (almost a decade ago) someone told me that about March but my inner weather voice was like, "What...yeah sure...March brings the migrating birds back, along with bulbs peeking through the gardens, seagrasses turning from brown back to green, buds on trees, much warmer sun, and a glistening ocean beginning to warm the soul." Believe me, I've screamed at the top of my lungs into the air more than once, "STOP ALREADY" to the cold, blustery, misty, foggy, non-stop raw winds, that bear down on us the entire month. Sorry...getting carried away by the thought of March waiting in the dark wings. Back to today's weather...it'll be a nice one as winter days go. And, a nice holiday weekend too. Tomorrow...not so much as it'll be the only day feeling cold and wet and wintry. Sunday and Monday though, we're good to go as Ms. Sun is staying checked in!
