Sunset between Coconut Cove's fake palm trees |
Mornin'! It's 54° as winds are the main event this morning. They're coming from the South at 25-35mph +gusting as the howling winds are hitting the coast. The ocean is too and it's loud and clear from six blocks away. It's not raining at the moment but everything's wet from periods of overnight light rain and/or coastal moisture spreading over the island from the ocean via those winds. Temps will hover around the mid-upper 50s as it's going to be a blustery, wet day at the Shore while winds pound the coast all day with periods of heavy rain (the epitome of a bad hair day). Need I say that it'll be an uncomfortable, miserable day? Tonight, the temps drop into the mid 30s and we may see (I can't believe I'm about to type this) a wintry mix of rain and snow. No accumulation...just wet, cold flakes. It's the official full moon today (this morning to be exact) and it'll have an effect on the tides so just be aware of island flooding. Don't forget to file those taxes and on a brighter note...Ms Sun's back tomorrow and even brighter note for me ...10 days until Key West!
