Henri's Scraping Right By Us!

"Henry" - My Sister's pet turtle who we lost this year
Mornin'!  It's 73° in Wildwood NJ with Ms Sun shining brightly in the bright blue sky!  Breezes are out of the NW at 2-4mph.  I almost feel like Ms Sun has been tucked away for quite awhile but it's only been 3 days.  We had plenty of rain again overnight and we're over-watered and extremely soggy with humidity feeling tropical and much like Key West.  Which isn't a bad thing in my opinion!  Humidity's 90% with a dew point of 72°.  There's a Category I hurricane named "Henri" scraping right by us (North of us) ad touching down on the east coast at the Long Island and southern New England coasts.  Areas of Long Island NY, Montauk Point, and New Haven Conn to west of Westport Mass and Block Island will be taking the brunt of this badboy.  Hurricane and Tropical Storm warnings have been issued for those areas.  They will be getting serious winds and storm surge.  We're about 4½ hours south of this area and Henri's effects on Wildwood will be the possibility of rain (40% chance) possibly producing heavy rain as well as dangerous rip currents along our coast.  For the most part, it'll be a sunny day with some cloud cover and temps in the mid-80s and West winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... 30% chance of rain with temps around where they are now (low-mid 70s) and SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... mostly sunny with a 30% chance of rain in the early morning.  It's the Full Moon today and any high tides will without a doubt create street flooding with all this saturation and possible upcoming rainfall.  Be aware of the island's low-lying areas to avoid damage to your vehicle.
