Mornin'!  It's 69° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up but not making it through the hazy sky.  It appears that we're still dealing with those fine particles of smoke in our thick, unhealthy air due to those Canadian wildfires.  There's "Code Orange Air Quality" still posted until midnight tonight.   Humidity's 92% with a dewpoint of 64° and breezes are barely there out of the South at 1-3mph.  So, June's just about outta here.  She's always a quickie that's for sure.  For this last day of June... a mix of sun and clouds, with areas of smokey haze possible.  It all depends on the the direction of the breeze and by later today the breeze will be out of the South, then S-SE so we may see the blue sky again.  It remains to be seen that's for sure.  For now... Mornin'!  It's 68° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining through the morning haze.  Winds are light out of the SW at 8-11mph.  The island birds are making their presence known as the island wakes and comes alive.  It was more than alive last night after midnight into the 3am hour.  We're going to have a mix of sun and clouds today with temps near 80° and Southerly winds at 15-25mph.  Tonight... partly to mostly cloudy skies, temps around 65° and South winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow... scattered rain showers and/or thunderstorms in the morning with cloudy skies throughout the rest of the day and evening.  There's an 80% chance of rain with gusty winds (Southerly winds at 15-25mph).  Temps will be in the low-70s.  Tomorrow night... rain showers (60% chance) with clouds filtering out by the overnight.  Temps will drop into the low-60s with West winds at 10-20mph.  Tuesday... sunny, high of 75° and much less of those blustery winds with W-NW winds at 8-12mph.

Mornin'!  It's 61° in Wildwood.  Ms Sun's shining and there's no smokey sky to report today.  The sky is blue and clear as the W-NW breezes are 8-11mph.  It's a lovely morning down the Shore.  It'll be a lovely day with sunny skies, temps tapping 80° and West winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... clear, temps in the low-mid 60s with S-SW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... mostly clear with some clouds in the mix.  It'll start out with light breezes turning to a blustery day as gusty winds begin developing in the afternoon.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 70s with S-SW winds at 5-10mph increasing to 20-30mph.  Monday... rain showers developing in the morning with the possibility of thunderstorms by afternoon (80% chance).  Temps will be in the low-70s.  It'll be windy with South winds at 15-25mph +gusting.  Monday night... rain and possible thunderstorms giving way to partly cloudy skies overnight as temps drop to the low-60s and W-SW winds will be 10-20mph.  Get out and enjoy today as the weather will be perfection!

For today's weather, it'll begin with a mix of clouds and sun with scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon (40% chance).  Areas of smoke and haze are in the mix as well.  Reduced visibility is possible.  Temps will be in the upper 60s with E-SE winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... mostly clear with that haze surrounding us, temps in the upper 50s with SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy, slight chance of rain, temps in the low-mid 70s with West winds at 5-10mph.  Saturday... sunny, temps in the mid-70s, W-NW winds at 5-10mph.  Sunday... partly sunny, temps in the mid-70s, SW winds at 5-10mph.

Hazy Hump Day

Mornin'!  It's 62° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up and shining down but that hazy, smoke is giving the sky that apocalypse look.  Breezes are out of the NW at 7-9mph.  Nothing's fresh about our breeze as its coming from the areas of the Canadian wildfires.  Expect a partly hazy day with widespread areas of smoke and haze reducing the visibility at times.  Temps will get up into the mid-70s with West winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... mostly hazy, cloudy skies, then partly cloudy after midnight.  There's a 15% chance of a passing shower.  Temps will drop into the upper 50s with SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... partly cloudy with 25% chance of rain.  Temps will be around 70° with E-NE winds at 5-10mph.  At this time, the weekend's looking sunny with temps in the mid-70s.

D-Day

Mornin'!  It's 65° in Wildwood NJ.  It's sunny with that ol' smoky haze in the sky.  Winds are out of the West at 8-10mph.  Expect a mix of clouds and sun today with the possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm (25% chance) later this afternoon.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 70s with West winds becoming very gusty at 10-20mph.  Tonight... a slight chance (15%) of rain before 9pm under hazy conditions.  There will still patchy smoke clouds up above.  Temps will drop into the upper 50s with West winds at 10-15mph tonight.  Tomorrow... widespread hazy start to the day with patchy smoke, basically a sunny day with temps in the mid-upper 70s and NW winds at 10mph.  
There's a Red Flag Warning issued regarding these gusty winds we're about to get (again).  The reason for the warning (11am - 8pm) is due to the extreme dry conditions and low humidity as of late along with these winds due in today.  It's all perfect ingredients for wild Fires.  Be aware of what you're doing in regards to cigarettes, cigars, campfires, cooking fires etc.  Be smart.  New Jersey's a tinder box right now.  No sense in throwing a lit cigarette out the car window. 
It's D-Day today.  On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 allied troops landed on a 50-mile stretch of Normandy beach on the French coastline to fight the Nazi Germany waiting with guns-a-blazing.  More than 9,000 troops lost their lives just in that first 24 hour period.  Today we'll remember.

Sunny Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 59° in Wildwood NJ.  It's sunny and bright with some small puffy (aka cumulus) clouds in the blue skies.  Breezes are out of the N-NE at 10-15mph.  We've had some major winds the day but they've calmed down considerably.  We've had some unusual high tides too.  That full moon brought tidal flooding to the island on last night's high tide.  Especially in the back side (harbor / marsh / bay) of the island.  The streets in my neighborhood were pretty impassible but you'd never know it the way some people drove through the depths of the tide water creating wakes.  I just hope they realize that they drove through salty ocean water and their undercarriage is the thing that will suffer most.  
It'll be a sunny Sunday with temps in the mid-upper 60s and SE winds at 10-20mph.  Tonight... some clouds will give way to mainly clear skies.  Temps will drop in the low-mid 50s along with S-SE winds shifting to the NW at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... sunshine with some clouds, temps in the mid-70s and West winds at 5-10mph.  High tide times today could bring more flooding on the streets.  Just be aware of where you park and leave you vehicle.  Since we're becoming the golf-cart capital of the world as of late, I know that those vehicles would never take to tidal flooding or any flooding for that matter.  If you're on the island especially when it's the full moon and the winds are wafting the way they were (extremely strong off the ocean), it's island flooding time.  You need not a drop of rain for the streets to become impassible.  And, we could very well have a very high tide again here on the back of the island this morning as this 9:05AM Ocean high tide will be a 10:00AM back bay high tide this morning.  You've been put on alert!

June's Full Moon Is Tonight

Mornin'!  It's 66° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's up but the dense fog has her concealed.  If you check any of Wildwood's webcams, you'll see nothing but a white screen due to the fog.  Breezes are currently out of the E-NE at 6-9mph.  It's going to become a windy, cloudy day with temps dropping a bit to around 64/65 degrees.  These current gentle breezes will turn into blustery winds later this morning still out of the E-NE but at 25-35mph +gusting. It doesn't look like we'll be getting any rain as originally forecasted.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temsp in the low-50s and NE winds at 20-30mph.  Tomorrow... sun and clouds mixed with temps in the mid-60s and SE winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow night... clear skies, temps around 60° and much calmer winds out of the Southeast.

Happy Friday!  Ms Sun's up and shining brightly in the clear blue sky and barely a breeze out of the NE at 2-3mph.  It'll be a beautiful day with abundant sunshine, temps in the low-70s and SE breezes at 5-10mph.  Tonight... partly clear / partly cloudy with fog developing late, temps in the upper 50s and S-SE breezes at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... 40% chance of showers late in the morning with a cloudy, windy afternoon.  We could see areas of dense fog (mostly in the morning) as temps rise into the mid-60s.  It'll be breezy with NE winds at 25-35mph.  Sunday... sunny, temps in the mid-60s and NE winds at 10-15mph.  The Full Moon is tomorrow and high tides will be higher than normal.  Speaking of "tides"... the ocean high tide is an hour earlier than the back bay (marsh side) of the island.

Mornin'! June's in the house!  Happy June.  It's 64° in Wildwood NJ.  We're under gray, smokey skies with winds out of the N-NE at 15-20mph (the Nova Scotia fires are providing plenty of smoke along the east coast).  It's a breezy, dreary morning down the Shore.  We're starting out with gray, foggy, misty conditions to kick off June this morning.  These areas of fog and mist will eventually lift this morning as it's supposed to get sunny today with temps near 70° along with E-NE winds at 15-25mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy giving way to considerable cloudiness and possible fog.  Temps will drop to the upper 50s with NE winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... starting out just like today as it'll be gray and foggy, becoming partly sunny with temps in the low-70s and SE winds at 5-10mph.  Saturday... cloudy and windy, temps in the mid-60s, windy with E-NE winds at 20-30mph.  Saturday night... cloudy and windy with temps in the low-mid 50s and NE winds at 20-30mph.  Sunday... partly sunny, temps in the mid-60s and E-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Sunday night... partly cloudy, temps in the mid-upper 50s and W-NW winds at 10-15mph.
