IMPORTANT FOOTNOTE: At 5:30PM this evening, a "Tornado Watch" was issued by the Natl Weather Service.  This includes all our surrounding areas in Cape May County, Delaware Bay Waters, Coastal Waters.  Be on guard tonight.  The Philly weather chick says that we'll begin to see very strong winds as a storm comes through the tri-state area in the direction of the Coast.  They're specifically saying 8PM to midnight in the Philly area.  It's then heading for our coast and our timeline here looks like 11PM into the wee hours of the morning.  Prepare for extremely strong winds and coastal flooding.  Remember those high tide times.  Know your low-lying areas.  Don't drive through flood waters.  Keep aware of the weather tonight and hunker down and stay safe!

Mornin'!  It's 59° in Wildwood NJ.  It's cloudy with winds out of the NW at 10-12mph.  We've been watered as yesterday was a total washout and the island was watered with downpours throughout the day.  Today will be a bit different as these morning clouds should begin to move over after mid-day.  Expect a partly sunny day later with temps in the upper 60s and West winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... cloudy with 80% chance of rain, temps around 60° and South winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... 50% chance of rain showers, with peeks of sunshine later in the day, temps in the upper 60s and South winds at 5-10mph.  As for this weekend... Saturday looks a rainy start with 50% chance of rain throughout the day along with peeks of sunshine and temps in the upper 60s with West winds at 15-20mph. It's 55° in Wildwood NJ and raining at a decent clip with winds out of the East at 10-15mph.  It's going to rain today (100% chance) with temps in the low-60s and East winds at 20-30mph.  Rainfall could reach 1 inch.  We could see some tidal / coastal flooding in those low-lying areas.  Tonight... cloudy with periods of rain, temps in the low-60s and E-SE winds shifting to the SW at 20-30mph.  Chance of rain is 100% and rainfall could near a quarter of an inch.  Flooding still could be possible in the poor drainage and low-lying areas.  Know your high-tide times and the back bay area (if flooding) will reach high-tide and flood an hour after the ocean's / beach high tide time.  Tomorrow... cloudy with a slight chance of a passing shower then sun peeking through in the afternoon, temps in the low-70s and W-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow night... cloudy with occasional rain showers late at night, temps in the low-60s and S-SW winds at 5-10mph.   Chance of rain is 50%.  As for this coming weekend... Mornin'!  It's 55° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun is shining brightly but with those milky clouds everywhere.  These morning clouds will thicken as the day unfolds.  Breezes are barely there out of the E-NE at 1-3mph and will increase out of the E-SE at 10-15mph.  Expect a cloudy day with temps in the mid-60s and a bit on the breezy side.  Tonight... cloudy with rain developing after midnight.  Temps will be in the mid-upper 50s with E-SE winds at 10-15mph.  Chance of rain is 60%.  Tomorrow... chance of rain is 95-100% with temps in the low-60s and Easterly winds at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow night... steady rain, temps in the low-60s and East winds at 10-20mph.  Chance of rain is 60%.  When looking at the rest of the week's weather forecasts, once this rain system kicks in today, we may not see Ms Sun until Sunday.  The New Moon was yesterday (I failed to mention) and that moon phase brings higher than normal tides which we could see today and tomorrow.  Oh, there's plenty of parking in my neighborhood as those Memorial Weekend Revelers have returned to their homes and Wildwood still stands no worse for wear.

Memorial Day 2025

Mornin'!  It's Memorial Day!  It's a federal holiday in the U.S. honoring our military personnel who died while serving our country in our US Armed Forces providing us our Freedom.  It's always observed on the last Monday in May.  It's also considered the unofficial beginning of summer.  Summer is officially June 20th until September 22nd.  
On to the weather... it's 56° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's shining, there are plenty of clouds in the sky as well but we've got sunshine fill the island right now.  Breezes are light out of the North at 4-6mph.  It'll be a partly sunny / partly cloudy day with temps in the mid-60s and E-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tonight... mainly clear, temps in the mid-50s and S-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... more clouds than sun, temps in the mid-60s and SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow night... cloudy, temps in the low-60s and SE winds at 5-10mph.  Wednesday... 75% chance of rain, temps in the low-60s and Easterly winds at 15-25mph.

Mornin'!  It's 56° in Wildwood NJ.  It's still Memorial Weekend and it's still packed to the gills this morning.  Wildwood's looking like a packed can of tuna.  No parking as far as the eye can see.  Some illegal parking going on as well.  It's sunny and bright and a beautiful Spring morning.  Winds are light (compared to what they've been) at 5-10mph out of the NW.  We'll have a mix of sun and clouds (much like yesterday) today with temps n the upper 60s and W-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temps in the low-50s and NW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... generally sunny with a few afternoon clouds, temps in the upper 60s and S-SE winds at 5-10mph.  Tuesday... partly to mostly cloudy, temps in the low-mid 60s and E-SE winds at 10-15mph.
