Happy October!
Mornin'! Well...we dodged Nicole's bullet! WW made it through the day yesterday without any ill effects from this tropical storm. The sun actually came out a few times. Light rains and heavy winds began overnight. Temperature is currently 72 degrees. The rains seem to have subsided this morning. No flooding or wind damage to report as the Utility Pump never got plugged in and Canvas Awnings are still intact. There is still a good breeze out there at 25mph from the NW with some stiff gusts. Add to that the sounds of the rough ocean and it sounds like we live near the train station as the metroliner speeds by! It'll be mostly cloudy beginning this morning and peeks of sun should arrive by this afternoon. Temps will remain in the mid-upper 70's and continue to be mild; still feeling warm and humid in WW today. Winds have already begun to calm down even as I blog. I'm thinking the 1st day in October will be developing into a pretty nice day and for sure lead us into a dry, sunny, cool, Fall-like weekend. High tide:2:01p.m.; Low tide:8:42p.m.; Ocean Temp: 73 degrees.
