Mornin' and Happy New Year to All! It's 42°, sunny, calm, mild and a lovely winters start of the day and year. It'll be the last of the warmish, mild ones for awhile. In fact, this coming Tuesday may have a high of 29° and it could be time to dig out the woolies. For New Years Day though...a lovely start with mild temps...mid-upper 50's. Winds will blow in this afternoon bringing clouds and a 20% chance of a shower in the early evening hours. Lets talk about these winds shall we? They commence later this morning from the South at 5-10mph, then switch up a bit from the S-SE at 10-20mph, then turn to the W-SW at 28-30mph. I'm thinking the winds are the star of the show as they'll determine how this 1st of the year will play out today. Whatever happens...for the most part, it'll be a sunny, nice, dry start so get out there and soak up the salt air. High tide:1:07p.m.; Low tide:7:24p.m.; Sunset: 4:49p.m.; Ocean temp:51°...not over-the-top freezing cold for those Ocean City First Day Polar Bear Plungers...happy dipping you crazy folk!
