Mornin'! It's 46° in Wildwood. It's thick with fog and drippy outside this morning. I almost thought I heard a fog horn in the distance. Just kidding. It appears as though we're up against a rainy, drippy, wet day on the island. Temps will get up into the upper 50s as Southerly winds ramp up later (22-24mph) along with rain that's in today's forecast (80% chance) probably ridding us of the soup that we're experiencing at the moment. We might even hear a ripple of thunder along with the rain later. Tonight...clouds and temps dropping back into the mid-40s as those Southerly breezes shift to the NW at 10-20mph. Still looking like rain on tap for tomorrow. Just saying. High tide:1:58p.m. Low tide:7:32a.m. Ocean temp:37° Sunset:7:17p.m.
A daily weather forecast of Wildwood, New Jersey. I'm a lover of the weather and more importantly the sea, sand, tides, sunrises, sunsets and moon charts. I've discovered since living here on the island (2004) how different our weather is than the mainland. Or, better yet, the Philadelphia area where I was born and raised. Lucky for me my family spent just about every summer vacationing in Wildwood. I did the same while raising my own children. I'm blessed to have been able to call it home as being "down the shore" full time is pretty amazing. People always ask, "How bad is it in the Winter?" You know what they say... "If you're lucky enough to live by the beach, you're lucky enough." As for this weather thing... I will never get used to the fact that when there's a snowstorm in Philly, it could be a misty/rainy, almost mild Winters' day in Wildwood or if there's a Nor'easter bringing Wildwood to its knees, it could be a cloudy, windy day in Philly. These towns are less than two hours apart. Since my Philly family and friends always assume that I'm having the same weather as the big city, I began blogging about Wildwood NJs weather to keep the record straight.
