Change is Good!

Dockside at Beach Creek Oyster Bar and Grill
Otten's Harbor - Winter of 2015
Mornin'!  It's 75° in Wildwood.  It's a perfectly gorgeous summer morn.  By the way... summer's in one week! We've got sun, blue sky, a light breeze (NW 12-14mph) and birds chirping everywhere.  I just saw a heron sitting on my neighbor's roof.  A little on the tropical side this morning.  In fact just last night as hubby and I were having cocktails with music at one of our favorite dockside bars he turns and says, "Nice tropical breeze tonight huh"?  I realized right then and there for the first time this season that after a really harsh, arctic winter...our warm, summer, tropical season was right on our laps. It's a super nice feeling.  Anyway I'm happy to report today's weather has changed up a bit.  All week I kept seeing reports and forecasts of a partially rainy Saturday.  Not so much now.  We're going to have a mix of clouds and sun (no clouds at the moment) with a stray thunderstorm possible and my guess is it's due to the increased humidity and mid-upper 80° temps. Light breezes out of the NW will stay checked in until that late afternoon switch over (happens almost every day here in the summer) when the SE breezes cool us down a bit (low 70s tonight).  There will remain a chance of a stray thunderstorm tonight and into the overnight as well.  You know my motto... just keep your eye on the sky.  Tomorrow ...it still looks good with more clouds in the mix but hovering around the 80° mark as Sunday night has a 50% chance of rain coming over us.  Lots of activites going on this lovely weekend in Wildwood.  www.wildwoodsnj.com

Today's photo was taken last night from dockside at Beach Creek Oyster Bar and Grill on Hand Ave. as you enter Wildwood at the foot of the George Redding Bridge.  It's a great dockside bar.  Another is Harpoon Henry's on Beach Dr. in Cape May and The Wharf on Burk Ave. in Wildwood.  There's more but these are a few of our most favorites if you like sunsets, music and a cocktail!

I like the juxtaposition of photos, Kathy. Only differences of degree - ha ha!
