Christmas Eve Eve

Mornin'!  It's 54° in Wildwood.  It's damp (no rain though) and misty and foggy with heavy dense cloud cover.  No breezes to note.  The sounds and aromas of the island are intense as you can hear the ocean's roar and smell the surrounding marsh land.  It's quiet and peaceful.  It'll be unseasonably mild today with temps in the low-mid 60s.  It's supposed to rain today (70% chance) with breezes out of the S-SE at 11-13mph.  We may see heavy downpours at times and even hear some thunder.  Tonight...50% chance of rain with temps remaining in the low 60s and breezes ramping up out of the South at 25-39mph.  Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are still looking more on the cloudy/rainy side (slight chance of showers) but not total washouts. In fact...don't expect much sun for the next week as there's a chance of rain in each daily forecast. It's the weird temperatures....mid-upper 60s on Christmas Eve and Christmas day that's certainly the talk of the town this year. Today will be no exception. The Full Moon is Christmas Day so keep those tides in mind as we'll see much higher tides than usual especially with rain in the forecast. Driving through rain water is one thing, but driving through tide water isn't recommended.
High tide:5:45a.m. and 6:14p.m.
Low tide:11:59a.m.
Ocean temp:53°
Sunset:4:41p.m.

The Santa pictured in your masthead looks like Merv Griffin. Is it only me?

Well Jim...that was a Laugh Out Loud! Not seeing Merv but love that thought. Merry Christmas my friend!
