Our Christmas Tree this year |
|
Not my house |
Mornin'! It's 37° in Wildwood. We've got surfaces that are frosty again this morning as there's a bit of a wintry chill in the air. Feels about right for the season. Happy Hanukkah as the week long holiday begins tonight at sundown. So far so good for a lovely first weekend in December. It'll be another beauty today with abundant sunshine pouring down and temps in the low 50s with hardly a breeze (West at 4-5mph). Tonight...temps back down into the upper 30s/low 40s with breezes switching direction a bit (SW at 6-7mph) and clear skies. After shopping for this year's Christmas Tree, making some Italian Wedding soup, and decorating the tree, Hubby suggested we grab some hot chocolate and take a drive to Grassy Sound (the desolate marsh road leading to Stone Harbor the next barrier island north of us). So, last night around 10pm we took a drive and pulled to the side of the road to see the meteor shower and what a show! We actually got to see shooting stars in the intense darkness. On the drive back home...we got to see another show as it was obvious my island neighbors took advantage of this mild weather to decorate and display their holiday spirit with lovely decorations. The Season's upon us. Happy Hanukkah!

I knew you had to do it! Looks great, but is it real this year?
I love this santa banner - did I make that one or did you? I don't recognize it, but then again, my brain isn't what it was (work hazard!-)
@dodi...thanks! the tree is real (first time in almost 20 years)! And, you made this Santa Banner for me twice (the original and this one with the date edited).
