New Orleans - Mardi Gras 2018 |
Mornin'! It's 26° in Wildwood NJ. It's clear and starlit with barely a breeze (NW 3-6mph). No moon as tomorrow's the New Moon meaning the moon is almost invisible (it's when the moon is between the earth and the sun catching the sun's light on the side of the moon facing away from the earth). New or Full... this time period of the month is when the tides are extremely high and low due to the moon's pull. Anyway... Happy Mardi Gras! It's Fat Tuesday and Shrove Tuesday and Fastnacht Tuesday and the last day of Carnival Season (which began on January 6th). Lent begins tomorrow however way you look at it. It'll be a lovely winter's day here along the Coast this Fat Tuesday. Expect plenty of Sunshine with temps in the mid-30s with breezes out of the W-NW at 10-15mph. Tonight... clear, northerly breezes at 7-15mph and temps in the upper 20s / low 30s. Tomorrow... more of the same but a bit blustery.
High tide:7:12a.m. and 7:34p.m.
Low tide:1:11p.m.
Ocean temp:40°
Sunrise:6:24a.m.
Sunset:5:58p.m.
