Thursday Mix

Mornin'!  I'm back!  After returning on our last leg of our trip yesterday on the Cape May - Lewes Ferry, the unpacking and settling into our cozy home began!  It feels good to be home again!  It's so nice this morning here in Wildwood.  We had a wonderful week in Athens, Georgia with our daughter and son-in-law.  We had some cooler weather as well as a little taste of summer too!  Mother's Day was fantastic as we enjoyed brunch in a 1915 southern mansion turned into a lovely restaurant (Five and Ten)  reminiscent of those Cape May mansions we have here.  There's nothing nicer than dining in that type of ambiance.  It's 57° (that's what it was in Fayetteville, NC as we began the 2nd leg of our journey home this time yesterday morning too)!  We're currently under partly covered skies with no breezes to note here in Wildwood.  It's calm and quiet with the island birds everywhere making their presence known.  I'm enjoying their morning chatter as I can also smell the briny goodness of the sea air as I type.  I have the porch window cracked open ever so slightly allowing the outside in.  I may be closing that window later this morning though as there's the possibility of rain in the morning forecast (50% chance).  Rain showers are posted for later this morning / early afternoon with temps in the mid-upper 60s.  It won't be a washout as Ms Sun's in today's mix too.  It looks like a partly sunny / partly day.  Winds will be first out of the West at 10-15mph, then shift from the W-SW and then tonight... S-SW.   Tonight... partly cloudy with temps where they are now - mid-50s with those S-SW winds at 5-10mph.    Tomorrow looks like a repeat of today with the chance (30%) of a passing shower or thunderstorm early evening.  The weekend's looking eh... 50-50.  There's a Full Moon this weekend on Saturday as it's looking like a partly sunny, mild day.  Sunday's looking cloudier with the possibility of rain showers.

Welcome back! Your loyal fans miss the "Briny goodness" of your forecasts. I sit 3 floors above the ocean at the Pier at Caesar's and rely on your forecasts daily.

Aw, thank you very much Jimbo! I kept thinking of you and my weather followers while away. I did keep a check on the weather here at home almost on a daily basis. It looked kind of wet and wild here last week! It's good to be back! As always, thanks for your comment. Much appreciated.
