A Beauty Up Ahead

This Morning's Webcam Shot - North WW
Mornin'!  It's 68° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 79% with a dewpoint of 61°.  Winds are out of the North at 8-11mph.  Ms Sun has begun to rise in the beautiful morning sky.  It's refreshing outside this morning.  The seagulls are up and laughing, the breeze is cool, the heaviness in the not-so-humid air is gone.  It's looking like a lovely day up ahead.  Expect and mix of sun and clouds today with temps around 80° and N-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... clear, temps in the upper 50s (not a typo) and winds still out of the North at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... mainly sunny, temps in the upper 70s and N-NE winds at 10-20mph.  As for the weekend... both days mostly sunny, temps in the mid-upper 70s and breezy.  Today's the New Moon.  New Moons and Full Moons mean much higher and lower tides than we usually have.  We also are having some serious rip currents for the next few days due to Hurricane Lee still out in the Atlantic heading towards New England.  With the New Moon and Hurricane Lee, higher tides and rip currents will certainly be an issue.  We could see beach erosion and minor street flooding.  Be aware of the high-tide times and low-lying areas on the island and remember that high tide is always an hour later on the backside (the marsh and bay side) of the island.  Also, don't drive through salty tide water as it's hazardous to the underside of your vehicle.  The Surf will be in the dangerous zone as swimming or surfing will be a challenge even for the best swimmers.  Be extremely careful if entering the ocean and check with lifeguards before doing so.
High Tides: 8:42AM and 8:48PM
Low Tide: 2:32PM
Ocean Temp: 77°
Sunrise: 6:40AM
Sunset: 7:08PM
UV Index: 6.6
Rip Current: High Risk (dangerous surf conditions)
