Mornin'! It's 25° in Wildwood. It's cold, crisp and clear with a sky above filled with stars. Love the sky this time of year. It's amazingly vivid, clear and beautiful with no intrusive lights hampering the glow of the stars. There's a light breeze making the winter air even more crisp. It'll become overcast soon enough though as the clouds are due in. It'll be partly cloudy later this morning and then overcast by this afternoon. Temps will head up into the mid-upper 30s and winds will be out of the E-SW at 5-10mph. Tonight...rain showers enter the scene (40% chance) with temps in the low 30s and breezes staying where they are now. Sun then checks in for tomorrow, Saturday and most of Sunday. That is until the next Clipper heads into town Sunday night/Monday morning (2-3" forecasted) welcoming February. 7 weeks until Spring! High tide:3:43p.m. Low tide:9:37a.m. Ocean temp:39° Sunset:5:18p.m.
A daily weather forecast of Wildwood, New Jersey. I'm a lover of the weather and more importantly the sea, sand, tides, sunrises, sunsets and moon charts. I've discovered since living here on the island (2004) how different our weather is than the mainland. Or, better yet, the Philadelphia area where I was born and raised. Lucky for me my family spent just about every summer vacationing in Wildwood. I did the same while raising my own children. I'm blessed to have been able to call it home as being "down the shore" full time is pretty amazing. People always ask, "How bad is it in the Winter?" You know what they say... "If you're lucky enough to live by the beach, you're lucky enough." As for this weather thing... I will never get used to the fact that when there's a snowstorm in Philly, it could be a misty/rainy, almost mild Winters' day in Wildwood or if there's a Nor'easter bringing Wildwood to its knees, it could be a cloudy, windy day in Philly. These towns are less than two hours apart. Since my Philly family and friends always assume that I'm having the same weather as the big city, I began blogging about Wildwood NJs weather to keep the record straight.
