Mornin'! It's an unbelievable 51° in Wildwood NJ this 8th of February. Talk about unseasonable temperatures! The minute you step outside the crazy temp hits you. There's light breezes (S-SW 5-8mph) and cloud cover. The crashing ocean waves are loud and clear in the dark, quietness of the early morn. I can understand hearing the surf if I lived on Ocean Drive but I live 6+ blocks away from the ocean (on the bay side). I say "+" as the beach at my street is 2-3 blocks deep (in Wildwood) so I'm actually 8+ blocks away from the surf. Ok...let's get on with today's weather. It's mild and cloudy with some clear sky in the mix (I can see stars here and there). We may see morning showers but those clouds should give way to sunshine by late morning / early afternoon. It'll be a very mild winter's day with temps just about tapping 60°. Winds will be out of the W-NW at 10-18mph. Later this afternoon ...partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain with possible thunderstorms as the weather starts a little turmoil and turnaround as the mild and cold temps compete. Winter's heading right back over the island tonight as temps drop down into the 30s and winds wift (waft) in switching from the NW at 10-20mph bringing not just the cold, wintry temps but 100% chance of moisture. Winds will continue throughout the night (20-30mph) as rain plus snow is on the forecast and will continue through tomorrow. It's looking like we could see a coating along the coast as so far all forecasts are saying no accumulation (just a dusting) for us!
High tide:5:27a.m and 6:01p.m.
Low tide:11:44a.m.
Ocean temp:41°
Sunset:5:31p.m.
