Keep Your Eye On The Sky Sunday

Mornin'!  It's 59° in Wildwood NJ.  It's gray and chilly with winds out of the NE 15-20mph.  It's raining lightly as this rain event is right off shore over the ocean heading this way.  It's going to be a perfectly miserable day with rain (90% chance) and winds out of the NE at 20-30mph +gusting... a perfect little "mini-nor'easter" if you will.  Temps will be in the low-60s.  Tonight... steady rain with it continuing overnight (70% chance). Temps will drop into the mid-50s with N-NE winds at 15-25mph. Tomorrow... showers in the morning (40% chance), then a cloudy afternoon with peeks of sunshine and temps in the mid-60s and N-NE winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow night... still mostly cloudy with temps in the upper 50s and winds light and variable.  The New Moon is in a couple days so you might see higher than normal tides and some coastal/street flood especially with this rain event surrounding us. Beware of low-lying areas on the island as well as high tide times.  Careful parking that vehicle and don't drive through flood waters.
FOOTNOTE: It's 10:30AM and the sun is shining over Wildwood.  I just checked the doppler again and it appears as if we may not see any more rain today.  All that green, rainy cloudy cover is moving north.  We're still not blue sky as the clouds are seemingly breaking up but it's still pretty cloudy and I felt compelled to update as I'm almost certain we may have dodged this rainy event bullet today.  This evening and tonight could be a different story as the doppler still has stormy weather south of us along the coast which could make its way to our coast.  Just saying.  Keep your eye on the sky!
