Hump Day Drearies
Mornin'! It's 65° in Wildwood. It's clear and quiet (except for the sound of the surf crashing on shore). The stars are out and shining brightly again. It's another lovely autumn morning. Things are-a-changin' though. Increased clouds are in the today's forecast as there's a slight chance of an afternoon shower; an even greater chance of an evening shower and 50% chance of rain on the overnight. Temps will stay in the mid-upper 60s today as breezes commence at 15-18mph from the NW. Tonight...temps back into the 50s with NW breezes hanging on. I went to the beach to check out the rocket launch again last night (it was scrubbed Monday night) and thanks to my phone could hear the launch as it was happening with the word "explosion" in the broadcast and sure enough...could actually see the plume of smoke on the Wallops, VA beach from Wildwood's beach. What an amazing event to witness as the obvious was happening...no rocket in the clear sky yet on the horizon (Virginia's coast) a small, faded plume of smoke from the launch pad's explosion and fire that could be seen emerging from the horizon some 200+ miles away. Something I'll never forget.
