Earth Day

Mornin'!  Happy Earth Day!  It's 39° in Wildwood NJ.  It's clear.  Ms Sun's up (thank goodness). Winds are out of the W-NW at 20-25mph +gusting making a windchill of 29°.  Winter has returned!  It feels brutal with those whipping, biting winds.  I covered outdoor young plants as well as filled the laundry room with more plants before turning in last night. I think we'll be alright especially with Ms Sun warming us.  We're supposed to get temps into the low-mid 50s today but those relentless, annoying, cold winds out of the W-NW are staying checked in at 20-30mph +gusting making it feel colder than it is.  Tonight... clear to partly cloudy with temps in the low-40s and W-NW still hanging around at 15-25mph.  Tomorrow... sunny with a few afternoon clouds and a high near 60° and West winds at 15-25mph.  As for this weekend... Saturday starts out partly clear becoming overcast by afternoon and periods of rain by evening.  Some rainfall could be heavy.  Sunday... morning rain becoming cloudy by the afternoon and clear by evening.  Take time today to think about this beautiful world we share and perhaps do something to help Mother Earth along.  Something like begin using reusable bags, bottles, straws etc.  Or, plant a tree.  Or walk around your property or neighborhood and collect trash.  Living on an island and seeing relentless trash and/or plastics knowing they're eventually headed for the ocean or bay is so frustrating and sad.  I truly do my best to collect what I can.  Today's the day (especially with these winds) to pick up anything you see littering the earth.
