Full "Pink" Moon

Mornin'!  It's 47° in Wildwood NJ.  Ms Sun's with us this morning.  She's been over the horizon for over a half an hour already.  Breezes are out of the NW at 15-20mph.  Birds are making their presence known again as they're chirping and tweeting and hooting and cawing and squawking and laughing and some would say "disturbing the peace".  I would say "bringing the sounds of Spring" to the quietness.  I love it.  It'll be a beauty today.  Expect plenty of sunshine, high of 60° with NW winds at 15-25mph.  Tonight... a few passing clouds, low around 48° and NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... a few early clouds but another mostly sunny day with high in the mid-60s and not as blusterly with S-SE breezes at 10-15mph.  Friday looks like the next day for rain.  The Full Moon is today and we should be able to catch it rise without clouds interfering this evening.  It's known as the Pink Moon and will also be a spectacular supermoon!  There are two supermoons this year with the first occurring tonight and the second next month.  Supermoons are said to appear bigger (7%) and brighter (15%) than your average full moon as it is as close to the earth as it can be.  The reason this moon is "pink" is due to the time of year... when certain wildflowers, creeping pink phlox and moss pink phlox are all blooming.  The moon won't actually have any appearance of being pink but will begin rising with its usual gold color turning to bright white while gliding overhead.  It's time to howl!
