Mornin'! It's 69° in Wildwood NJ. Humidity's 77% with a dewpoint of 60°. Ms Sun's up and shining brightly and winds are out of the W-SW at 5-7mph. More beautiful weather as we kick off this year's Labor Day Weekend. Although not an official start to a weekend, it is here in Wildwood. Most weekends begin on Thursday nights here. And, this holiday weekend is no exception. Everyone in my neighborhood seems to have arrived as indicated by parked cars everywhere as well as all those nighttime outdoor spotlights that glow brightly everywhere in the neighborhood darkness creating light pollution like no other. No doubt, there's much more to come before all is said and done Monday night. A mass exodus is up ahead as the Shoobies and Bennies check out after the holiday; some until next year.
As for this beautiful weather, it's going to continue through Wednesday. Expect the weather to cooperate for those coming down the shore. We'll have plentiful sunshine today with temps around 80° and W-NW winds at 10-15mph. Tonight... clear, temps in the upper 50s / low 60s and NW winds at 10-15mph. Tomorrow... mostly sunny, temps in the mid-70s and NW winds at 10-15mph. Tomorrow night... clear skies, temps around 60° with N-NW winds at 5-10mph. Sunday... sunny, temps in the mid-70s with E-NE winds at 5-10mph. Sunday night... clear, temps in the mid-60s with light and variable breezes. Monday... mostly sunny, temps in the low-70s with E-NE winds at 10-15mph. Monday night... clear, temps in the low-60s with E-NE winds at 5-10mph. Tuesday and Wednesday's weather looks like it will continue with the same exact weather. No more Friday beach tips. You can always check on previous Fridays if looking for tips. Speaking of "Fridays", due to the incredible water damage here last Friday by Hurricane Erin (300 miles off-shore) and her incredible push of ocean waters flooding our island, the fireworks launch site and equipment was damaged bringing Friday Night Fireworks to an early close.
