Sunny Sunday

Mornin'! It's 78° in Wildwood NJ.  Humidity's 84% with a dewpoint of 71°.  Ms Sun's up and shining with breezes out of the SW at 4-6mph.  It's a warm, lovely morning along the coast.  Expect sunshine today with some cloud cover from time to time.  Temps will be in the low-mid 80s with S-SW stiff winds at 10-20mph.  Pack a bungee for that beach umbrella.  Tonight... partly cloudy, temps in the low-70s and W-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... very windy with showers developing in the afternoon, temps in the mid-upper 70s and NE winds at 20-30mph.  Chance of rain is 40%.  Tomorrow night... rain showers early with extreme stiff winds out of the E-NE at 20-30mph.  Temps will be in the upper 60s.  Tuesday... cloudy, 20% chance of rain, temps in the mid-70s and E-NE winds at 10-20mph.  Tuesday night... partly cloudy, 20% chance of showers, temps in the upper 60s and E-NE winds at 10-20mph.  It appears like the rest of the week into the weekend will be sunny but very windy.  Hurricane Erin (currently a category 3) is traveling north in the Atlantic and is currently located 140 miles north of San Juan, Puerto Rico or 330 miles E-SE of Grand Turk, and is moving W-NW at 14mph and being fed by warm waters. It seems to currently have a very low probability of hitting our coast. However, it's being continuously monitored and what will be a certainty is how it will affect our surf and rip currents.  It will no doubt generate extreme high surf and very dangerous rip currents which will probably close our beaches for a few days this week ahead. Just to add too that the New Moon is next Saturday and since it pulls our tides just like a Full Moon, we'll inevitably see incredibly higher than normal tides along with strong storm surge and tidal flooding on the island.  Just prepare in knowing your low-lying areas on the island as well as those high tide times.
High Tide: 3:16PM
Low Tide: 8:31AM
Sunrise: 6:14AM
Sunset: 7:51PM
UV Index: 8.9
Rip Current: Moderate Risk (swim only near a lifeguard)
