Toby's here!

Mornin'!  It's 36° in Wildwood NJ (feels like 24° with the windchill).  It's breezy (N-NE 21-35mph +gusting).  We're having a bit of light rain and feels as though it's coming at you sideways.  It's definitely pelting the complexion as it feels as though it's mixed with sand creating a natural exfoliant.  I won't even bring up hairdos today.  It's been crazy windy for what seems like forever.  I'm beginning to forget what "calm" feels like.   It'll be windy (that's putting it mildly) again today with NE winds 25-35mph +gusts as high as 50mph.  Temps will be around where they are now with this rain event turning to icy-mix / snow showers.  Those 4"-5" of snow that was forecasted for the shore now looks like 1".  There's talk of moderate flooding at the high tides today and tonight as moderate coastal flooding is still in effect until tomorrow morning.  We haven't had any flooding at all so far. Last Nor'easter took my canvas awnings and this storm (I saw on TV that it was named "Toby"...what the hell kind of name is that for a Nor'easter?) took out my front storm door as well as an enormous branch off the tree out front yesterday. Thankfully it fell on no one or on my house and was able to be removed by hubby who alone dragged it away while battling the turbulent wet wind.  Tonight's weather...same as today...low-mid 30s, light rain/icy-snow mix, winds out of the N-NW at 20-30mph +gusting. Tomorrow...Ms Sun intends to check in by mid-day but the March winds aren't going anywhere.  March never fails to bring out my longing for a serene, warm beach day more than ever.  I hate March.
