Cloudy Start - Partly Cloudy Ending

Mornin'!  It's 39° in Wildwood NJ.  It's currently cloudy with gray skies and light breezes out of the W-SW at 5-8mph. The blog's a bit late this morning as I slept in and then I began checking various weather reports and newscasts about a potential blockbuster storm heading this way this Friday/Saturday. We'll get to that. For today... a decent day.  Expect clouds early with some peeks of sunshine later today.  Temps will be in the mid-40s with W-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tonight... partly cloudy, low of 23° and N-NW winds at 10-15mph.  Tomorrow... sunny, high of 31° and N-NW winds at 10-15mph. Okay... here's the scoop as of this morning's reports: there's every indication that a storm (another Nor'easter) is developing and strengthening off our Coast later this week. The intensity could impact us Friday into Saturday.  Are you sitting down?  There's been mention of this storm (next winter storm's name is Kenan by the way) being classified as a "Bombogenesis" or a "Bomb Cyclone".  Storms like this occur when the central pressure of the storm plummets causing the winds to rush in toward that center at a much faster pace.  These winds are the transporters of moisture that unleash huge amounts of precipitation.  If the air's cold enough: Blizzard and/or very Heavy Snow.  There's also extreme high tides due to the beginning of next week's "New Moon".  So, I'll be keeping a close watch.  One forecaster mentioned 3' of the white stuff along the mid-atlantic coast including the Jersey shoreline.  Just saying.  Start praying.

3' of snow?!?!?!? For your sake, sure hope that is a typo
by whoever forecast. If that is right (3'), haven't seen a
snow fall like that since maybe 76-77 (at least here
in the Ozarks).
Better get to the records, you really don't want to be setting
a record, especially in the snow fall area.
Good luck!!!!!
