Frida's Meltdown

This Morning's Webcam shot - North Wildwood

Mornin'!  It's 36° in Wildwood NJ.  Everything's white as the sun rises.  The sky is thick with light gray clouds as the island is still blanketed with snow.  It almost has a pink hue coming off the snow.  And, speaking of snow, we officially got 11.5" of the white stuff thanks to winter storm Frida.  Breezes are light out of the SW at 4-7mph.  When stepping outside, it's quiet except for the sounds of a meltdown with dripping everywhere and of course the ocean's waves crashing. We're supposed to have a mostly rainy day (60% chance) with occasional rain showers throughout the day.  This briny, warm, atmosphere and temps in the upper 40s will push the snow out of here before you know it!  SW winds will stick around at 10-15mph.  Keep in mind, rain + meltdown = tidal flooding.  Be aware of where you drive or park your vehicle and of course the high tide times.  Also, remember that at night, all those wet roads could be icy when the temperature drops into the freezing range.  Careful out there.  Tonight... cloudy skies early becoming partly cloudy with a low of 37° and W-SW winds at 10-20mph.  Tomorrow... partly sunny, temps in the upper 30s / low 40s and W-NW winds whipping at 10-20mph.  Friday... there's a chance (40%) that we'll have another few inches of snow coating the island which looks to be in Friday's early morning's forecast.  As for the weekend, Saturday looks sunny and cold (upper 30s) and Sunday looks warmer (upper 40s) and rainy.
