National Chocolate Cake Day

Mornin'!  It's 21° in Wildwood NJ.  Windchill temp is about 18° as we have barely any winds... N-NE at 2-3mph.  Even with a glaze of ice on the Harbor, it'll be another blue sky - sunny, somewhat mild winter's day here down the Shore. Ms Sun's up and shining already this morning!  Expect sunshine, temps in the mid-30s and light and variable winds.  Tonight... partly cloudy evening giving way to cloudy skies late.  Temps will drop to around 30° with SW winds at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow... all hell breaks loose.  All the weather forecasts (both TV and Internet) I've checked this morning are all over the place.  No one's committing yet to where and/or how much storm impact we'll see as the uncertainty level on the track of the storm not to mention a shift in this storm track by as little as 50 miles could mean getting walloped or not.  That means anywhere from 6-18" or even more.  For starters... there's no sunshine to speak of tomorrow.  Expect a cloudy day with light rain and/or snow showers by the afternoon.  Winds will be out of the N-NW at 5-10mph.  Tomorrow night... the winds enter stage left out of the N-NE at 25-30mph with temps dropping into the low-20s as snowfall begins and drops 3-5".  Saturday... the overnight snow from Friday could continue all day Saturday as temps will be in the mid-upper 20s with winds out of the N-NW at 25-35mph +gusting.  Heavy snow coming South up the Coast as well as from the direction of the ocean could engulf the Coast.  It could be minor to severe tidal flooding and beach erosion.  By Saturday afternoon... the storm will begin fading bringing snow showers in the afternoon.  Saturday night... cloudy and frigid... 16° with NW winds at 25-35mph +gusting making it feel like single digits.  At this moment, all the weather-folk are still talking "potentially" as we all wait to see how this monster moves around and settles in.  The point is... the movement of this storm will be the determining factor of who gets what. That means Wildwood could very well get nailed with copious amounts of snowfall not including those wind-driven snow drifts.  I'll keep you posted as I keep a watchful eye on both the storm and my chocolate cake baking in the oven!
