Mornin'! It's 30° in Wildwood NJ. We have cloud cover. We have winds out of the NW at 20-30mph+ gusting making it feel like 17°. We have snow coming down sideways. We have white everywhere with about 3" of snow on the ground. We have fire in the fireplace. And, we have delicious King cake with coffee this cozy, warm morning for which I'm grateful. I'm happy and proud to say the cake came out perfectly (which isn't the norm for me). I'm also happy to report that Christmas is over and the tree and all the decorations are down and put away for another year.
As for this storm "Garrett" and our current weather conditions... we're in the tail end of it and he should be out of here within a couple hours. For now, it's snowing at a good clip, very windy and temps barely rising as it'll be around 35° (feeling like 21°) today with skies clearing by late afternoon. This snow is light and fluffy compared to Monday's and is blowing everywhere. Today's winds will be tossing things around out of the W-NW at 20-30mph+gusting. Tonight... clear, starlit skies, temps in the low-20s with winds still very stiff out of the NW at 20-30mph+gusting. It'll feel like 14°. Tomorrow... sunny, high of 33° and calmer NW winds at 10-15mph. Sunday... partly sunny, high of 46° (for the meltdown) and winds out of the SW at 10-15mph. Hubby and I decided on Gumbo today. We've got the okra and andouille to complete the ingredients needed. Happy Friday!
