Mornin'! It's 23° in Wildwood NJ. It's clear and starlit with N-NW winds at 9-12mph making it feel like 12°. Two weeks ago I mentioned that it was the first day of Winter. When in reality, yesterday was Wildwood's first day of winter. We've been spoiled in the weather department with all this unseasonable mildness. Not any longer as Winter's checked in with a vengeance. It's been a few years that we've experienced this kind of annoyance, but we had snowfall yesterday from morning until darkness last evening. We also had some major tidal flooding during the high tides. Since we no longer have a local weather man to report what's going on, my measurement of snowfall is roughly 10" here on the island. It's certainly more in the snow drifts but overall, I'm going with 10". My home is encased in snow. I can't see out my windows as they're swaddled in frozen snow. It was a heavy, wet, wind-driven snow. Hubby and I shoveled the best we could last night (making paths around our home including the driveway) but we're now in the crunchy aspect of snow removal as everything's frozen solid. I'm counting on Ms Sun to help out today. Expect a sunny day with temps in the upper 30s / low 40s. NW winds are on tap at 5-10mph becoming Southerly by the afternoon. Tonight... increasing clouds, temps around 35° with S-SW winds at 5-10mph. There's a Coastal Flood Advisory posted. Be aware of the those tidal flooding high tides times and the snow meltdown beginning today and even more so tomorrow. Move those vehicles from low-lying areas as all this snowfall finds its way out of here. Tomorrow... 60% chance of rain and temps in the upper 40s (possibly tapping 50°) as meltdown continues big time. It'll get windy tomorrow night as temps drop back into the low 30s. Just an fyi, there's some talk of more snow Thursday night into Friday. I'll have to decide again on what soup to make as I'm sure yesterday's homemade New England clam chowder will be long gone by then!

It is also 23° here in the middle of the Ozarks. I don't remember us ever having the same temperature at the same time. Only snow here has been a few flurries, not even enough to call a trace. The most important thing is that the power is still on for both of us. I can make it thru just about any kind of weather as long as the electricity is flowing. Here is hoping your snow melts quickly, and when it does, watch out for black ice.
